On Saturday, June 10, 2023, we hosted a celebration of Cruinniú na nÓg in the children’s playroom at Tallaght University Hospital. Cruinniú na nÓg is a national initiative that encourages children throughout Ireland to engage in creative activities within their local communities. In recognition of this event, we aimed to ensure that children in the hospital were included in the themes of participation, creation, and expression. A key feature of our celebration was Umbra, a multisensory project that focused on the art of shadow play.
